Solution Frameworks

RICA uses solution frameworks to turn rural climate needs into repeatable asset archetypes. A framework is more than a technology category. It defines the operating pattern, evidence package, financing logic, and monitoring requirements that allow assets in different locations to become comparable.

Framework discipline is central to the RICA market. It gives sponsors a practical design lens, gives origination investors a clearer underwriting surface, and gives note investors a way to understand portfolio composition across geography, asset type, operating risk, and impact pathway.

Frameworks help investors understand what matters for a given asset. A drip irrigation project and a bamboo forestry project both belong in RICA, but they do not carry the same ramp-up profile, operating data, repayment cadence, or risk mitigants. Framework-level underwriting keeps the common RICA structure while respecting the practical differences between assets.
