Social Forestry
Social forestry assets combine community-linked planting, stewardship income, ecological function, and productive biomass use. The framework treats tree cover, bamboo, watershed function, biodiversity, and long-term rural income as part of one operating system with governance, monitoring, and economic participation.
Market Challenge
Section titled “Market Challenge”Degraded landscapes can weaken water retention, soil stability, biodiversity, biomass productivity, and local income. Restoration programs often struggle when they rely on short-term funding without durable community incentives or credible economic pathways. Bamboo and building-material value chains can help connect restoration with productive use, but they require patient establishment, credible land arrangements, and clear buyer or processing pathways.

RICA Asset Pattern
Section titled “RICA Asset Pattern”A RICA asset in this framework is structured around community-linked landscape stewardship and productive biomass management. Planting programs, nursery systems, community or landholder agreements, GIS plot records, survival monitoring, harvest management, processing pathways, and stewardship obligations are documented together.
The open project account records planting areas, land and stakeholder rights, governance agreements, survival rates, harvest plans, processing capacity, stewardship payments, ecological indicators, and buyer relationships where productive use is part of the model.
Revenue And Repayment Logic
Section titled “Revenue And Repayment Logic”Revenue and repayment support can come from stewardship payments, nursery revenue, biomass sales, bamboo or materials products, ecosystem-linked revenue, and blended models that combine patient capital with operating income. Repayment structures must respect establishment timelines and avoid overstating near-term cash flows from biological assets.
Financing can use staged disbursement, milestone evidence, maintenance reserves, and patient repayment schedules.
