RICA Project Information Model Standard
The RICA Project Information Model Standard defines the common project information package for RICA assets. It gives sponsors a disciplined way to turn a project into an investor-ready record and gives RICA reviewers, origination investors, and note investors a comparable basis for diligence.
A Project Information Model is not a pitch deck. It is the evidence bridge between project design, financing review, open project account setup, monitoring, loan purchase eligibility, and note-level transparency.
Why The Project Information Model Standard Matters
Section titled “Why The Project Information Model Standard Matters”Rural adaptation infrastructure is often too local, operational, and context-specific for conventional infrastructure finance. The Project Information Model standard makes these assets more legible by requiring the same categories of evidence across projects while allowing each solution framework to retain its operating reality.
For sponsors, the standard shows what must be prepared before financing review. For reviewers, it provides a repeatable completeness and quality test. For investors, it supports comparability across frameworks, geographies, project loans, purchase reviews, and pooled note exposure.
ISO 19650 Convergence
Section titled “ISO 19650 Convergence”RICA intends the Project Information Model to converge with ISO 19650-style information management principles over time. In practical terms, that means distinguishing project information used during delivery from asset information used during operation, defining required information exchanges at financing and monitoring milestones, and maintaining controlled records in Atlas.
This standard is not an ISO 19650 compliance claim. It is the RICA starting point for disciplined project and asset information management across rural climate adaptation assets.
